As the first day of March draws closer and closer, Microsoft has unveiled the Xbox Live Games with Gold line for next month. If there’s a theme for this month, it sure looks like it’s shooters, be it tactical, top-down, or run-and-gun. If you’re a fan of shooters of all kinds, you’ll probably want to set aside at least some bandwidth to download these games next month.
The first game to be won next month is Warface: Breakout, a co-op Xbox One tactical first-person shooter with your teammates. It turns out that the developers behind Warface: Breakout will be hosting an event from March 8-22 that will offer various rewards for playing the game’s squad deathmatch mode, so they’re certainly looking to capitalize on this expected influx of players.
The next step is Vicious Attack Lama Apocalypse. Almost certainly not as serious as a game like Warface: Breakout, Vicious Attack Lama Apocalypse Rather is for fans of top-down shooters like Geometry wars Where Enter the Gungeon. Vicious Attack Lama Apocalypse Also features couch co-op, which is increasingly rare in video games these days, so it’s definitely worth a download if you miss the old days of multiplayer gaming.
Then, we have Metal slug 3, which is a run-and-gun game that hardly needs to be introduced. Metal slug 3 is one of the Xbox 360 options for the month of March, and it will be joined by Port Royale 3 – the only March title that can’t be described as some sort of shooter. As always, Xbox 360 titles will be playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S via backward compatibility.
Warface: Breakout will go live on March 1 and will be free throughout March, while Vicious Attack Lama Apocalypse will be available from March 16 to April 15. Metal slug 3 and Port Royale 3 will divide the month in the middle, with Metal slug 3 being available from March 1 to March 15 and Port Royale 3 free from March 16 to 31.
