Microsoft has released a new update to the Xbox app for Windows 10 that allows users to stream games and unlock console content on their PCs.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can now use the Xbox app on Windows 10 to access xCloud. Additionally, the latest update to this popular gaming platform added a remote play feature previously seen with Xbox One consoles.

The new app is an evolution of its predecessor, allowing more advanced games. Remote play capabilities mean you can stream games from the PC in 1080p at 60 fps and also access your classic Xbox 360 collection, with backward compatibility through the X | S series.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can now enjoy direct streaming of Cloud Gaming titles on Windows 10.

You play cloud games by connecting a compatible PC controller via USB or Bluetooth. You will also need an internet connection to take full advantage of your service, so make sure both of these qualities are available when using this feature for maximum enjoyment.

Microsoft’s latest update for the Windows 10 Xbox app is a welcome move that recognizes gamers want more options for playing games on their computers. Microsoft’s remote gaming and cloud gaming service becomes more and more immersive with each update.

Plus, by streaming from their cloud and consoles, gamers can enjoy another way to play Xbox exclusives.
