OMORI not installing on Xbox/Microsoft Store PC app could be caused by a general problem such as incorrect time or date or a more technical explanation for this problem could be a corrupted Microsoft file cache among others problems. This issue apparently occurs when trying OMORI and other games from the XBOX app and Microsoft store.

Fix omori not installing on Microsoft Store

Before jumping straight to the solutions, we have gathered information on what causes this problem.

  • Incorrect Date/Time- A wrong date and time can lead to confusion with servers, as games save data with the date and time attached to it, causing the process to get out of sync. To resolve this issue, follow these steps.
  • Corrupt cache- Cache can go bad if not removed, cache is essentially the fastest and most reliable storage medium on a computer. It stores data on your processor, minimizing distance and maximizing data transfer rate.
  • Lack of privileges- Lack of administrative privileges over the game may prevent it from launching or running effectively. We will provide the game with administrative rights allowing it to run as an administrator.
  • Outdated Windows- An outdated or unstable Windows build can be a major reason why you are facing this problem, updating Windows can fix this problem.
  • Corrupt files- Corrupt installation files can ruin the proper functioning of the Microsoft/Xbox application. To resolve this issue, we will reinstall the Microsoft store/app.
  • Different Accounts- Both Xbox and Microsoft stores must have the same account logged in, otherwise users are reported to be experiencing issues.
  • Services unavailable- Some services needed to install OMORI may be disabled. We will disable it to determine if this is the reason we faced this issue or not.

1. Log in with the same account

It is recommended that you sign in to both the Microsoft Store and the Xbox app with the same account. Apparently this solved the problem for a number of users. To do so, just follow these steps.
