How much does Xbox Live cost? Full price details

Unless you’re trying to play a free (F2P) game, you’ll need an Xbox Live Gold membership to enjoy a game’s online features.

Xbox Live Gold membership doesn’t just grant players multiplayer access, other perks make the membership a wise investment. In addition to enjoying the multiplayer features of their favorite games, Xbox Live Gold members get two free games per month. Subscribers also receive up to 50% off select titles in the Microsoft Store, which means the subscription is practically starting to pay for itself.

Here’s how much Xbox Live Gold costs.

  • One-month Xbox Live Gold: $ 9.99
  • Three-month Xbox Live Gold: $ 39.99
  • Six months Xbox Live Gold: $ 39.99
  • Xbox Live Gold for 12 months: $ 59.99

Gamers who want to avoid paying the full price of their Xbox Live Gold membership can keep an eye out for gift card discount offers. These offers allow gamers to get their Xbox Live Gold membership for less.

There is also another subscription system offered by Microsoft which may be more cost effective for most gamers. Not only does Xbox Game Pass Ultimate offer the same benefits as Xbox Live Gold, it also gives gamers access to over 100 high-quality games and EA Play.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can play their favorite games via the cloud through their PCs, phones or tablets, making this subscription a better alternative for gamers with limited libraries and users who like to play on the go. An active subscription is required to access these games, so subscribers will not be able to continue playing the games they downloaded during their subscription after it expires.

The Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription costs $ 14.99, and like other subscriptions, it will renew every month, unless players manually cancel their subscription.

How do I gift games on Xbox Series X / S?

People often have a hard time choosing gifts for gamers. While the answer depends heavily on the donee, getting them a title they have sought to gamble on is often the safest bet.

Choosing a physical game from a store is usually the first option that comes to mind when gifting games, but there are other ways you can afford games. Consoles and gaming platforms allow users to buy games as gifts and send them to someone on their friends list. Like the previous iteration of Xbox, it is also possible to offer games on Xbox Series X / S. If you don’t know the menus, giving gifts can be a difficult task.

Here’s how to gift games on Xbox Series X / S.

To gift a game on Xbox Series X / S, you must go to the Microsoft Store. If you own an Xbox Series X / S yourself, you can open the store by clicking on the cart symbol which also has a Windows logo on it.

Once in the store, you will need to find the game you want to gift using the search function. Type in the name of the game and enter its store page. Instead of clicking on the Buy option, you will need to look for a gift icon, which is a rectangle with an arc. After clicking on the gift icon, you will be able to select a recipient from your friends list or enter the recipient’s email address.

Make sure you pick the right friend or email address so you don’t have to deal with customer support later. Right after choosing the recipient, you will be asked to complete your purchase. Enter your payment information and your gift will be instantly delivered to your friend.

Regardless of your recipient’s online status, they’ll receive a notification letting them know they’ve received a gift from you. They will be able to download the game after accepting the gift.

If the giveaway is a multiplayer game, the recipient will need to have an active Xbox Gold membership to unlock the title’s multiplayer features.

Unboxing impresses a lot of Xbox Game Pass gamers

Unpacking was a brand new release on Xbox Game Pass last week, and while it hasn’t exactly caught on fire with the masses, those who have checked it out seem to like what they’re playing.

On the outside, the principle of unpacking seems quite simple: you unpack the packages and place your items in a selection of rooms. Simple, right? Well, it looks like the story is a bit more nuanced than that and catches a lot of players off guard.

The general consensus among fans is that the story has a rather emotional narrative, with an engaging gameplay hook that ties it all together. It’s another testament to how Xbox Game Pass can introduce more gamers to games they normally wouldn’t have played.

Some gamers have even noticed cool Easter eggs like an Xbox 360 console as one of the items you can walk around on. Others turned the game into a competitive sports tournament via its replay feature, something one of the developers was happy to include.

If you haven’t played Unpacking yet, download it! For a market oversaturated with first-person shooters and open-world adventures, sometimes it’s nice to step out of your comfort zone and try something a little new.

Have you checked Unpacking? Leave us a comment and let us know.

Minecraft 1.18 release date: how long until the Caves and Cliffs Part 2 update releases? | Games | Entertainment

Mojang appears to have everything in place for a big Minecraft 1.18 release date – with the game now available on Xbox Game Pass and supporting cross-play with any current version of Minecraft, including consoles and mobiles.

And while we do know that Caves and Cliffs Part 2 is coming this year, we still don’t know when Minecraft’s big update will be released.

And based on previous launches, we may not have much time to prepare for the launch when it hits PS4, Xbox One, PC, and mobile.

When the Minecraft 1.17 release date was announced, Mojang only provided a week before everything went live on June 8.

And the same could happen with Caves and Cliffs Part 2, which means we may have very little time to prepare for launch again.

It also means we can’t predict exactly when this might happen, as Mojang kept the final launch date very vague.

The latest update to the Minecraft FAQ reads: “The Caves & Cliffs update will be released in two parts; the first (1.17) was released on June 8, 2021 and the second (1.18) will be released later this year.

“The decision to release Caves & Cliffs in two parts is the result of our most ambitious update to date, as our team also continues to address the challenges of working remotely.

“By giving our development team a little more time, they will be able to deliver an array of great features without compromising on quality, reliability or functionality for gamers. You can see the full announcement video here.

“The first part of the Caves & Cliffs update will focus on cute and fun monsters, cool items and new blocks. For the full list of new features in Part I, check out the final changelog for Java and Bedrock.

And not too long ago, the last Minecraft snapshot was released by the Mojang team.

Snapshot 21W43A is available for download now and includes the new world shuffling features revealed during the Minecraft Live event in October.

This means that the generation of the world around the edges of an old world will now be adjusted for a smoother transition, with the space under the existing pieces also being filled, but only with deep slate.

Mojang says they’ll be adding a full generation of caves to this location later, which means another snapshot could be released before the Caves and Cliffs Part 2 update is ready to go.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla 20gb patch adds graves, new skills, and a late Halloween

It’s November, which means it’s time for some spooky in-game events – wait, no, that was last month. Either way, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gets into the Halloween spirit with a bunch of spooky additions for Title update 1.4.0, which will be another big download for us on PC. After taking down those GBs, we’ll have access to Tombs of the Fallen, a handful of new skills, and the Oskoreia Festival.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla update 1.4.0 will launch on Tuesday, November 9 at 4 a.m. PST / 7 a.m. EST / 12 p.m. GMT. It’ll be a 20.31GB download on PC – it’s similar in size on Xbox consoles, but a bit smaller on PlayStation boxes, for reasons that are sure mysterious and frightening.

The Tombs of the Fallen, which had previously leaked thanks to an early trophy update, are the big additions this time around. These are four puzzle-focused challenges that you’ll find scattered across England that will be accessible as long as you’ve unlocked the colony in the main storyline.

This update also sets the stage for the Oskoreia Festival, which begins November 11 and ends December 2. This will bring us new activities like horseback riding and a “tournament against the spirits”, with “spooky rewards” to unlock. Oskoreia refers to Scandinavian beliefs around wild hunting, which is common in European folklore. (You other PC gamer probably know this from The Witcher.)

There is speculation (Wikipedia is there if you really want to go down that tangent) that the beliefs about bearded Wotan, generally known to modern readers as Odin, leading the wild hunt is what has led us to modern lore. from Santa, so hey, maybe it’s fitting that this Valhalla patch lands midway through Christmas. (But come on, this is totally a late Halloween event.)

Assassin's Creed Vallalla Assassin’s Creed Vallalla Assassin’s Creed Vallalla Ubisoft $ 59.99 $ 35.99 Buy now Network N earns an affiliate commission on qualifying sales.

As usual with these big title updates, you’ll also get a trio of new skills to unlock. Perfect Parry will allow you to deal extra damage if you time your defense particularly well, Master Counter Roll will add a hidden blade strike to those dodges, and Enhanced Bow Stun Finisher will allow you to fire arrows at every stunned enemy in sight when you use this finishing ability. And, of course, there are bug fixes, which you can see on the official site.

Ubisoft also provided an updated roadmap with these patch notes, but the only notable addition is the Title update 1.4.1 coming in December. It looks like it will bring some snow to your camp, but that’s all we know so far. The roadmap doesn’t cover the next DLC, which the datamines say will likely be called Dawn of Ragnarok.

Battlefield 2042 preload: download size, unlock time, early access to Gold and Ultimate editions

The next main Battlefield is almost in our hands. Battlefield 2042 brings the series back to modern combat, but this time with a near-future setting, a world of No-Pats soldiers fighting proxy wars for the United States and Russia.

There are several ways to play Battlefield 2042 when it launches on November 19, and even earlier if you’re willing to pay a bit more. We’ve put this guide together to break down everything you need to know about when to pre-load, download size, and how to get early access to the game.

When is Battlefield 2042 preload available?

Battlefield 2042 preload will be available to all game owners regardless of which version they have opted for.

Preloading starts on PC on Wednesday November 10 from 10 a.m. PT, 1 p.m. ET, 6 p.m. UK.

PlayStation players on PS4 and PS5 will be able to start preloading on Wednesday, November 10 at 12h local time. In other words, after midnight, you should be able to download the full game.

Xbox actually went first with its preload, which is already available on Xbox One, and Xbox Series X / S.

What is the download size for Battlefield 2042?

Download size varies by platform, but you are looking around 50-65 GB.

How do you play Battlefield 2042 ahead of time?

Before launch on November 19, you can play Battlefield 2042 a week earlier – Friday, November 12. There are several ways to do this, the easiest of which is to buy the $ 90 ($ 100 for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S) GOLD Edition or the $ 110 ($ 120 for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S) Ultimate Edition on the platform of your choice.

If you prefer to try before you buy, a ten hour trial will be available on the same day – November 12 – until EA Play ($ 5 / month) on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. This is the basic level of EA Play, so you can buy a month just to access the trial. Your progress will carry over to the full game, but that’s all you can play.

This trial is also available for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass PC members, as these subscriptions include EA Play by default.

EA’s Origin PC players and EA desktop app can also get EA Play Pro ($ 15 / month) – the most expensive subscription level – which unlocks access to the full game on November 12. You will be able to play for as long as your subscription lasts. As a bonus, EA Play Pro gives you access to the Ultimate Edition of the game, with all that that entails.

What are the unlock times for Battlefield 2042?

EA has not officially announced the launch times for the Early Access week or the appropriate launch the following week. Judging from past launches, as well as the recent beta, we can only assume that each platform will follow its own schedule.

At computer, it probably means that the full game will unlock closer to the beta unlock time, or around 12am PT, 3pm ET, 8am UK. Xbox probably unlocks at midnight local time, but the situation with PlayStation is unclear.

Elden Ring file size is 50GB on Xbox, according to Microsoft Store

The file size of Elden Ring is from Smough to Ornstein de Sekiro.

Elden Ring file size is 50GB on Xbox, according to Microsoft Store

Elden Ring’s file size isn’t extraordinary, unlike FromSoftware’s generally crooked setting. It’s much more reasonable than talking pots and Lovecraftian snake men. According to a recent update on the Xbox Store (as spotted by GamingBolt), all you need to do is download 50GB of data to enjoy a trip to Lands Between.

We still don’t know anything about the file size of Elden Ring on PC or PlayStation, but it will likely be a similar install. Nonetheless, there is still the day one patch to bolster that number, so be prepared for something a little bigger than 50GB. We already know that an update is planned that will add ray tracing. , after all.

Related: If Elden Ring Takes Anything From Sekiro It Should Be His Mobility

Overall, 50GB seems pretty standard for a modern triple-A project, although the studio’s previous effort, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, is only 13GB on Xbox platforms. However, Elden Ring has a Breath of the Wild inspired open world with horseback riding, so we already know the reason for the increased demand for free space. It’s not as linear as the past releases of FromSoftware.

FromSoftware will show tomorrow 15 minutes of Elden Ring Gameplay

For more dry specs from Elden Ring, be sure to check out the recent update from Bandai Namco which outlines the technical details including target resolution, frame rate, and cross-platform compatibility.

FromSoftware plans to launch Elden Ring on February 25 next year while the game’s network test will take place from November 12. It seems like a stacked month for games if all sticks together, but everything goes is a whole other matter altogether.
