Microsoft announced today Xbox 360 is getting 40 new entertainment apps this week through the Xbox Live online entertainment service.
Microsoft recently launched 20 new apps on Xbox Live. But by spring, the company will launch another 40 apps. Clearly, the apps show that the console is no longer just about video games. It is a gateway to all kinds of internet entertainment.

Karaoke (All Live Regions except Japan and UAE)
Karaoke gives access to more than 8,000 songs from the latest hits to the oldest, as well as goodies, available on Xbox Live. Your avatar will take to the stage and sing with a full set of stage and orchestra accessories. Use SmartGlass to play/stop/pause, browse database and lyrics, or add songs to the playlist. Songs require no downloads and will play immediately via streaming for a robust karaoke experience.
